Still here.
Just wanted to throw something up here to let people know I'm still alive. Although I do have a cold. I don't have a good topic to write about. I had one about a week ago but forgot what it was before I wrote it down. Must've been great, eh? I'll let you know when I come up with something. Oh yeah, don't use make-up because it's made from petroleum. And use fabric grocery bags instead of plastic because they are evil too. Ciao.

Sorry to hear about your cold, Jonathan. Whenever I have a bad cold I like to use Vick's Vapor Rub. Too bad that it is made with petrolatum, a petroleum product.
You're freakin' hilarious. I almost died.
I'm glad to hear you didn't die, Jonathan. Because if you did you might end up at some funeral home where they will embalm your body with a lot of embalming chemicals and then use a lot of make-up to make you look better. And now we know how much you hate make-up, which is made from petroleum.
Perhaps a little pre-planning is in order? I found this article in last Monday's Chicago Tribune about "green funerals" to be interesting:

Perhaps you should do some blogging about the use of petroleum in the funeral industry?
Wow, you are crazy. I did see that article last week in the paper.
You saw the article, too? I guess you and I are a lot alike, Jonathan. I don't like make-up either.
This is a cool discussion. I hope you guys can keep it going. I didn't realize there is so much that is made with petroleum. I'm going to re-think my use of make-up and plastic bags.

I stumbled on your blog and think you are really a bunch of nuts. You people don't understand squat. You don't have an appreciation for all of the great things made with petroleum and you probably never will because you are isolated from reality.
- Bob (from Houston, TX)
Gee, Bob, you are the one who seems "isolated from reality." Our national security and the future of our environment is at stake.
Jonathan, keep up the good work by drawing attention to the issue of our dependence on petroleum as evidenced by plastic bottles, plastic bags, and make-up. You are a true American.
Here's a resource for those of you looking for some reusable shopping bags:

Thanks for bringing attention to this issue, Jonathan.
I have a feeling that I know what Bob's favorite petroleum product is.
It looks like my movie title for a subject drew in a lot of outsiders surfing the web. I'm not sure this is a good thing.
I enjoyed your review of the movie. Nice blog.
Hi, I thought I would check to see if you had any new posts to your blog. I like the things you write about. I'm an environmentalist, too.
- Kitty.
Hi, I see you made some changes to your blog. Your profile says you are tall, dark and handsome. How tall are you? I can see you are handsome from your picture - in fact I think you are sexy. Your opinons are attractive to me, too.

I'm not tall, dark, or handsome (although the last one is not up to me to decide I guess). I was trying to be funny. I'm (almost) 5'9" with dirty blond/turning gray hair.

I hope you're feeling better. If you want, I'll come over and cook for you. Ha ha ha, just kidding.
Not sure if you've had a chance to read Gore's Nobel Prize acceptance speech, but there's one idea he has that I would love to hear your opinion on.
"...most important of all, we need to put a price on carbon -- with a CO2 tax that is then rebated back to the people, progressively, according to the laws of each nation, in ways that shift the burden of taxation from employment to pollution."

P.S. Kitty, I can vouch for Jonathan's hotness.
Sounds like a real cat fight is getting ready to brew over you, Jonathan. That is, if Kimberly doesn't like to share...
- Kitty
Simmer down ladies there is plenty to go around.
Also, don't worry Kitty, Kim is practically married.
